My husband and I just made friends with our neighbors - who are also from Brazil. This is the first time he really spends time with Brazilians (he has met more through them) and he seems quite happy.

Sujeet's manager at work is from India. They have become buddies, but only at work. Besides that, we are never around Indians. Sujeet has mixed feelings. He doesn't feel like he fits in with the Indian community here(I don't either), but he also misses being around the aspects of the culture like the food (which we can just make at home but it's not as yummy as an Indian mom's food I bet).

my fiance doesn't really want to meet moroccans once he's here. but thats all talk. maybe when he arrives he'll change his mind. but if we're in LA i'm not too sure that there's a significant moroccan population there. here in NY there is for sure.

There isn't anyone Canadian in our area for him to hang out with. We do know of another Can/Am couple that live about two hours away and we've gotten together with them once already and possibly will again in about two weeks.

She isn't here yet but I am assuming there won't be a huge Thai community in and around the Tucson area.

No.

Edit: I've met a few Russian people here, and I found them horrible. I'm not interested in being with people from my country anyways - I was interested in expanding my horizons and getting to know people of other cultures when I came here as a student, and it hasn't changed.

He goes to a Portuguese language meet-up sometimes, but that's it. He would prefer to meet some people from different places. I chose "no" because he doesn't hang out with any of those people outside of the group.

I have a mixture of Liberian friends and American friends. I have found a great group of Liberians for my fiance to meet when he gets here. He says he loves connecting with people from his own country and would love to be around them.
