Thank you @Greenbaum

I have my fiance's 2018 W2 right here, would it be recommended to wait for the 2019 one as I'll have my interview in 2020 (I don't really know when people usually receive that in the US, my knowledge on financial stuff is very limited) or would this be okay?  The rule of thumb that the embassies use is if your interview is after April 15 then you use the prior year (2019 for this example) but if the interview is before April 15 then you use the prior year (2018)

Would I still need a copy of his employment contract or would the W2 be enough as he's not the 'main' sponsor? I have no idea now strict they are at the interview when it comes to showing evidence.  W2 is fine.

Also, I have no idea how to fill out the annual income question on the I-134 as he gets paid weekly and doesn't work a set amount of hours a week (sometimes he works 4 hours a day, sometimes 7, sometimes he works 5 days a week and sometimes 6), gets paid a different amount per hour when driving and when working at the store (he's a driver at a pizza place) and mainly lives off of tips. Would there be a way to find this out? The tax transcript will give them the annual income. That's all you need to prove his income.

Is there any information on yearly income on the W2 or is there a different document for that? Tax Transcript from the IRS.gov website. Apply early for the document as it's either a download at the time you are on the website but if they can't verify it's you then they mail it and that can be 2-4 weeks.

I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions, I'm extremely stressed and paranoid and have absolutely no one in my home country to help me 😅  No problem, that's why you are on VJ and that's what VJ is for; to HELP.

I updated my profile, I hope this is enough information! Your profile looks snappy!

Is there any other way besides the IRS thing to get tax transcripts and determine annual income? It doesn't recognize my fiance's information (I'm 200% sure we it was filled out right though) and I've now been blocked for 24 hours.

You can only get tax transcripts from the IRS; they're IRS documents.

You can request them by mail instead of the online form, it just takes longer to get them.

See https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Hi @Greenbaum and @Sarge2155!

I’ve downloaded the pdf and also sent it to my fiancé. NVC form sent and I have already checked my embassy website for the required documents for the interview.

Now my fiancé is working on the I-134.

I remember reading somewhere that it’s valid to get an updated letter of intent to marry from the petitioner, what do you think?

Yes its prudent to update your letters of intent. The beneficiary will hand carry to the embassy in case they are asked for. Always  better safe than sorry.

Is that a requirement listed in the P3? If so yes if not no.

Don't forget to let them now they should also "bring the kitchen sink" as it may be asked for. Why do more then do when do will do?

Not really. The available list on my embassy’s website has the standard documents.

Since they’re asking for proof of relationship again, I thought about also bringing a new letter of intent just because my fiancé is coming to visit in two weeks and he can write it. But that’s the only extra item I’m planning to bring.

It's up to you. If you feel like making a new one then do so. Like Sarge said it may save you from any delays.
