If you have completed 2019 then submit 2019. If you have not use 2018. Here is what the requirement are for Nigeria taken straight from the P3 letter.

Affidavit of Support (including tax returns): All applicants are required to have an Affidavit of Support (Form I- 134- http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i -134.pdf and an IRS Tax Return). It is required for ALL applicants to demonstrate that the immigrant is not likely to become a public charge while in the United States. A downloaded or scanned photocopy of the Affidavit of Support (1-134) is also acceptable.

Check the poverty guidelines here - if the petitioner makes LESS than the minimum for their Household size, they MUST get a joint sponsor to also submit an Affidavit of Support along with their most recent tax return.

No don’t have the 2019 tax transcript available. Thanks for your reply.

Our packet is just about to hit the embassy. ( I see from DHL)

Then its just a matter of time from opening DHL and processing.

Does anyone have a rough idea from PACKET arriving to INTERVIEW timelines? (K1)

How is someone from China, Germany or India will know the answer to your embassy's process and times lines. As I said before and I will say it again, you are done here with this thread. Time to move over to your sub-forum to ask others who are processing through the UK to answer your questions. Good luck and safe travels.

My bad Greenbaum.  I think my mind is turning to goo, been so stressed with everything lately and I’m getting my dumb moments :P

I just got my case number from the NVC today and I did look at the tips and tricks which says my fiance can fill out the DS-160 now? Is there an advantage to filling that out now as opposed to when the NVC reaches out to me next?

The only advantage is that you will have your DS form already finished. I have mine ready to send and my documents  hasn't arrived to my embassy yet.

The possitive side  is that you can advance your form and it will be stored for 30 days (to retrieve it everytime you log in  you need your Application ID and reply to your  security question), you can also export it.

I would suggest the benefitiary start to fill it when your case leaves NVC. Because I filled my when my case wasn't even received by NVC and by the end of this month it will comply the 30 limit day (If I'm very lucky my case will be ready before the end of month, but who knows. I haven't tried the import feature, crossed fingers for it to work 😄)

Hello @Greenbaum,

When I am filling out the DS-160, one of the questions ask for "Application Receipt/Petition Number ". What number do I provide the USCIS number or the NVC number?

Application receipt refers to the USCIS NOA 2 number. Case number refers to the NVC number. So use the USCIS number.

Getting locked out for frequent attempts is not uncommon. You need to relax. Take a deep breath and check a few times a day. DR is a difficult embassy to get a interview date. BTW, you are done with this thread. You should be in the thread for your country/region where others from DR can help you.

NVC doesn't reach out to you. You follow the steps at the top of the page and you will get to where you are going.
