CONGRATS!! 😇so happy for you !!!

i have a question , before you got the approval. Did all your status say “ we received your case” like that’s all it said untill it was approved ?

Yes that's  all it says unless you get a RFE then it says something else.

I have no clue. I made two copies of my petition. I've gone over everything to see if there is a mistake on the application or something we forgot. I don't see anything

The only thing I can think of is might have something to do with with a couple of misdemeanors I have from nearly twenty years ago. But I was upfront about it and also provided documentation on the events. Court records that were certified..

Another thing could be that we got engaged on the first meeting and they want more bona-fide proof. But the only thing asked for was proof we had met. I provided everything I had. Passport stamps, hotel reservations, receipts, restaurant receipts, pictures, boarding passes, bank statements showing I was making purchases..

Well I understand, but don't  beat yourself up about it. It'll  be in your hands soon, then you can go to work on it. I'm sure its something simple.  Keep us posted.

I need some help with my RFE. Looks like there are several things I need.

I can get the documents for the court case. But the other two I am not sure about.

From what I can read, they make it pretty clear what they want. It seems that the fact that she was previously petitioned so recently is subjecting your petition to greater scrutiny than normal.

I already submitted 50 pages of meeting within a two year period... Flight itineraries, boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel reservations, receipts of all kinds, bank statements, about a dozen photos with her and her family and children.. Some had dates on them as they were printed at amusement parks.

What more can I submit as evidence?? That is all I have.. Am I supposed to re-submit it all again?

They want to know about the OTHER K1 how when what happened  was it approved  denied etc you'll have to go in great detail for USCIS. They not only want to know about your relationship now, they want to know what happened with the other petition.

I agree big time scrutiny! That will also be a sticking point at the embassy during interview. So be prepared.

They are asking about proof that we met as well. I submitted that with the petition. Why are they asking for more proof.. It should have been ample. Like I said, I don't have anything more to provide.

The only thing I really know is that the other petitioner was cheating on her while waiting for the process. They received the NOA2. But it never went further than that. No medical, no interview. He visited her once in a April of 2018, filed in May 2018 and never came back.

Did you not know that before you filed I mean about the other K1? You are going to have to submit a letter detailing what happened, no way around it.

Yes, I was aware of her previous relationship and that she had been engaged. Prior to filing myself in December, I did ask in VJ if her previous K1 petition would hurt me and I was told no. So I didn't think anything of it. Her petition would have expired by that point.
