Yes when we talking about I-129f ,TSC is in reference to the Dallas office . I am aware there are alot of USCIS  field offices in Texas.

The various USCIS field offices in Texas aren't the TSC either.

The Dallas lockbox is it's own thing. It's not a field office, service center, or application support center.

The USCIS Texas Service Center processes various petitions and other forms, but hasn't handled I-129Fs since 2017.

I assumed it was the closest service center, asked my fiance(petitioner) to clarify after which i fixed my profile and replied to you. Sorry for any confusion!

You righted the ship so no problems. It's hard being the newbie as everything looks so grand and you sometimes don't know where to start or what to ask or where to ask it. Everyone experiences what you are experiencing. You're doing fine. Good luck and stay engaged.

I called NVC ,the lady that answered said that they have stopped sending approved petitions to all embassies for now until they open since Embassies cannot process the cases anyway. But that they will continue to process cases and assign case numbers to avoid backlog . They also confirmed that K1's visa are not affected by any POTUS ban except the worldwide closure of embassies. As soon as local embassies open and send request to NVC that they are ready to receive cases, they will forward cases to them for further processing. So I guess we all stuck at NVC.

Just to be clear, she said they're waiting until *ALL* embassies are open? Not the specific embassy of your fiancé(e)'s home country? Some are opening which is why I think it's odd they would wait

They will wait until the embassy in the fiance country opens for interviews.

This process is a joke really. I bet a lot of us are just waiting for our petirions to be looked at. I don't understand how they can move on to January and February filers before looking at previous months.

Hang in there. I’m starting to feel the same way too. There are good days where I think less of it, but some days my hopes are so high and when I don’t see any approval, it makes me sad. I think what helps me, is thinking that I’m not alone. Also this forum helps me too.
It will come soon the approval. Let’s keep praying 🙏🏼

Two good reasons

- The user fees collected for immigration are less than what it costs to provide the service resulting in delay. Not enough money = not enough staff. The current administration has proposed increases to cover quicker processing while the previous administration never looked at the costs.

- and each case is different.  At this stage the USCIS is looking at the background of the petitioner and whether the parties have the ability to legally marry.  Adjudicators work on a basket of cases.  It is like getting in the wrong line at the grocery store.   The average actually case time worked is less than an hour.

Have you read the PDF link on the first page of the November thread or January where I opine as to the length of time you will experience and some of the reasoning. I'll post a link. My safety is not a Joke. Just saying.

I have read the post a few times and others that attempt to help people understand the process.

I do agree that some of the waiting is due to security and background checks. I have looked at other areas, but still am not sure whether the I129F process is merely looking at the petitioner's or foreign fiance background or both.

I also believe a lot of the waiting is because petitions have not yet been looked at.  I feel its almost a luck of the draw as to when your petition/case will be looked at. I submitted my application in December. I have a clean background as does my fiance who in in the Philippines.  My fiance has a close friend from church whose fiance in the US filed for them in late February.  All four of us have clean backgrounds and no previous marriages or any of the likes. Yet they receive NOA2 already.
