Noa1 December 9. I signed up for text message alerts on the uscis website and received the text this morning to check for the update. I then went to look at the case tracker app and it said “APPROVED”!! No RFE!! 157 days..

I am happy for you. Join us in the April NOA2 to NVC thread so we can all be impatient together 😊

Sarge being quarantined I don't know what day of the week it is, let alone month. Hell, it could be 2022 for all I am aware at times.

@Greenbaum I have a question. So the text with my noa1 came Dec. 10th but on USCIS my case was received Dec. 4th. Which date should I go by? Which is considered the actual noa1 date?

On your NOA1 form it shows the notice date in the top right corner. This is the NOA1 date

I was told the NOA1 is the notice date. What is the difference?

The received date is when they actual receive your file. The notice date is the date they sent the notices. OP is looking for the received date which is the one that I answered with as we have been doing it this way as long as I have been here.

But it is within two to four days, so it really is not going to change the entire data medusae.

Ok so is that the better date for my timeline? Should I change it to the receive date?

See above for the answer.
