@Greenbaum I doubt if things will ever be the same, I do not expect any normalcy  till the end of the year...we will probably have to wear mask to USCIS offices  and to Embassies/Consulates. My concern is if the lock down is being lifted in the US and Germany is planing on opening May 5 will the embassies open up at least?  Then again my thought goes back to the EO 😌  and its assumed effect on K1 visas ...its just exhausting .

It's exhausting because you are treating this like a chess game. You are thinking ahead to what your opponent's move will be and then what yours will be. It's a process of overthinking. You would be better off at this time to forget about what is or what isn't till you see it in B&W. Just being realistic. Why bring on more angst when you don't have to?

@Sparkle Sparkle you replied with a "confused" icon. Where can I help you with the confusion?

Nawww. Your find. Sometimes I just need to nudge back to reality. It's a difficult journey to make and there are many motions you'll experience. We went down this same path. Sometimes you are lucky, and things move quickly and once you have pumped your chest out then wham the next immigration step puts you back on earth. Trust the process!

Marrying in the PI is not slow if you know the shortcuts. It can be done in less than 20 days if she is free to marry.

The CR1 visa is very slow compared to K1. That is what I am talking about.

@ECCK posted that they were issued a K1 in Sydney yesterday. It's a good sign, but they had some extenuating circumstances (US military fiance was about to deploy). We'll see for sure when the embassies open, or with clarification on the EO.

Oh that is fantastic news! My fiancé is about to deploy as well so I’m praying that we get a miracle and our request is approved too 🙏🏻🙏🏻Did you do an interview face to face in Sydney ? Or did they do a Skype interview ?

You need to email the embassy with the details of your situation and with a copy of a letter from your fiancé's command outlining that he is about to deploy and that you want to get there in time to get settled in before he leaves.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hello everyone,

I am an early December K-1 filer and I still haven't heard back from USCIS for our NOA 2, which is making me feel a little discouraged. I am wondering if this long wait (148 days now) is normal or it's because the health emergency we are in now. I have also come to the point of wondering if it's possible that for some strange reason the application was lost or set aside accidentally. Everyday I hope it's the day I hear some good news!

To all my December filers. Have a great weekend and do something good and fun for yourself. We are all in the same boat. I hope that each and everyone included will receive some great news in the following week. Stay safe.

A little from column a it is normal and a little from column b the health emergency.  Today is our 334 day of waiting.  All the best things take time.  You will get a response soon.  Try and take your mind off it.  It will come
