How many people in this topic (December filers) are still waiting for NOA2? Today marks 4 months since NOA1 for me.

I’m waiting!!! May 9th will be 5 months for me. 141 days and counting. I didn’t have a specific timeframe for the approval, but never thought I’d be waiting this long🤦🏽‍♀️

Here 123 days and counting. We rang asking why there are several applications been processed from January before the ones on December just for curiosity and this was their answer:

A lot of factors. They have 5 service centres. They individually take care of specific areas. e.g. one in Texas might be quicker than Vermont.

⁃People can also pay for premium processing, which makes the application go by quicker??? (Side note I never heard about this, not sure if he was mistaken with this or he was referring to another kind of petition like I129)

⁃CA service takes 5-7 months for both married and unmarried, Nebraska only takes married cases (7-10 months)??

⁃Also depends on person and application

We took notes and this was literately what they say through the phone line.

Still hoping soon to get some updates.

Most people here are going through CSC, not the others. There are a few February filers who got NOA2 as well.

They have expedited services, but it's usually very specific needs. Like being in a war zone.  Again, not many people in this group are expediting their process.

Still waiting. I got my text with receipt number (noa1) on dec. 10th but my received date on USCIS case status checker is dec. 4th. Still not sure which one I should go by but either way it will be 5 months soon 😔 I follow more than 50 cases on my case tracker app and there have been no approvals since April 8th. There have been a lot of RFEs tho. I feel like they are sending those out to buy them more time or something 🤦🏽‍♀️ it would be nice if I could atleast visit my fiancé while this takes forever but the borders are closed in his country. It’s stressful when I think of how long it’s gonna be till I can see him again 😩

A lot of factors. They have 5 service centres. They individually take care of specific areas. e.g. one in Texas might be quicker than Vermont. The California location and Vermont are locations for K-1.

⁃People can also pay for premium processing, which makes the application go by quicker??? (Side note I never heard about this, not sure if he was mistaken with this or he was referring to another kind of petition like I129). Ppl = Companies - no individual can pay an expedited fee.

⁃CA service takes 5-7 months for both married and unmarried; Nebraska only takes married cases (7-10 months)?? K-3 applications that are reverted to married cases

⁃Also depends on person and application. Background checks are different for everyone because everyone is different.

Still hoping soon to get some updates.

Their story will change tomorrow if you were to call. :thumbs:

@Jmgold87  I am curious, how do you know 50 WAC numbers?

There are not 50 WAC #. The first three letters of your receipt number are for the service center. See the list below.

The first three letters indicate the USCIS service center which is processing the petition, as follows:

– EAC – Vermont Service Center;
VSC – Vermont Service Center;
– WAC – California Service Center;
CSC – California Service Center;
– LIN – Nebraska Service Center;
NSC – Nebraska Service Center;
– SRC – Texas Service Center;
TSC – Texas Service Center;
– MSC – National Benefits Center;
NBC – National Benefits Center;
– IOE – ELIS (e-Filing); and
– YSC – Potomac Service Center.

There are many embassy numbers and they start with three letters for the city code that the embassy is in. I hope this explains what you might be asking.

He is following 50 cases of other applicants to see what their status is compared to his.
