Welcome!! We’re encouraging  most of the time lol

🙏🏽🙏🏽

I see a lot of positive posts here. Easy to get down in a time like this. I’m sure most of us have not seen our loved ones for several months. FaceTime just can’t replace them...

Hi everyone I hope you can answer my question. My K1 Visa is on going and our case has being sent to my countrys embassy, but then my contact number expired. Is it important to change it, if yes how? Sorry for my English.

Alright now you guys get your faces off the ground, ok it's  been a skimpy week as far as December  approvals go, but what are you going to do about it! What are you going to do should your case  passes 299 days? Coupled with this virus situation there are many many reasons why your cases might be dragging not to mention something in your background or your loved ones. This is not a friendly time for trying to immigrate to the United States (if you get my meaning).

My advice again pick up your faces  and continue to weather the storm. There WILL be lucky ones and there WILL be unlucky ones. Next week is a new and better week hold on to that. I know from experience what each and everyone of you are feeling, but trust me it gets better, its usually not all gloom and doom trust me on that.

I feel all of you but don't  you dare give up STAY strong STAY positive in your thinking you'll need it later. Remember there is always someone worst off you just don't hear about it all the time. My case took 299 days till NOA2 and still there were set backs in the medical  then in interview, but there was worst cases try 592 days till NOA2! So what I'm saying is technically you all have much to be thankful for at this point!

So come on get with it, next week IS the week for you trust that believe that!!!!!

They rarely  call you, but you can send the embassy an email and update your contact number if you are worried  about it. Just be sure that going forward in the process you use good up to date contact into.

When you complete the DS-160 they will have your new contact number. Also, you can send off an email to the embassy requesting that they update your record. Include the petitioner's and the beneficiary's full name, DOB, e-mail address and WAC#. It shouldn't be a problem.

Also, we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Thank you, your answer is a big help! I'm sorry I just made this account today, I didn't notice there's a profile to fill, thank you for pointing that out.

No problem. We are all new at something at some time. There is nowhere that tells you to do a profile so I just add it because I use a lot to determine where someone is in a process and what embassy the will interview at. Once we have that information, we can give you a factual answer.

Here's some tricks to use when answering or wanting to quote someone.

First, when you use the quote button, go into a LONG posts that you are quoting and if there isn't a need to have the entire post, just delete a small portion of it, but leaving enough of the original post so we can understand what you are replying to.

Second, you can use the "@" sign in a blank reply box then begin typing the person's nick to bring up a list with their name and select their name. If it is done right, you should see a blue box around their nick like this @Greenbaum. When you use the @ sign you would use it in a blank reply and not a "+" reply.

Third is just to use the "heart" icon and select "thanks". Don't really need to say thanks in a quote. (using your example, you were making a comment and a thank you so the way you presented yourself is fine.

You can use WAC to check your statuus. You don't need to register to do so.

Use your WAC # from your NOA1.

There is a service provided by the USPS (US Postal Service) whereby each morning USPS will scan your incoming mail (just the address side of the envelope) and email you an update. It's very convenient these days to have advance notice that an important piece of mail is being delivered.

The service is available to most communities, but some are still being rolled out so not all areas are available. Check the website with your zip code to verify your location is available for the service. A person in the USA can sign up for this free service here:

https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

You can also use the USPS Mobile app available in the Google play store.
