I’m a bit confused 🤷🏻‍♀️ . I sent my i129f package December 20, 2019 and we received the message with the notification that the petition was received in December 26, 2019. However on the website to check my case status it says that “On December 20, 2019, we received your Form .....” . So what’s the actual date of NOA1 ?!  and how could they receive my petition on December 20, if I sent it exactly that day ?! 🤔

For NOA1 date, it is the date of Notice listed on your NOA1 form (I-797C) From what I gather "old" site uses "date received" which is also listed on your NOA1 form, but that is the date when they received your I-129F package, not the date when NOA1 was actually issued.

Damn, did you guys send it via hyperspace? Haha

Haha no no . USPS one day delivery. So basically the package arrived Dec 21.
when we got the message on Dec 26 that they received the package, they also sent the notification through mail but we didn’t received it. So we followed the instructions on the Case Status and sent an inquiry to receive another copy.
It doesn’t matter that much, what it matters is to get the approval!

I wouldn't bank on that 😂 I've more time to browse around now, but I'm going away starting next week to see my fiance until the end of March. In fact, I am hoping you guys post on here while I'm gone with approvals! Lol

Lol!! I don’t believe that you will not be checking VJ while your away. It’s kind of hard to the closer time gets lol. I’ll do my best to keep you updated for sure once your back. Safe travels to you and soak in all that love you will be receiving. I’m jealous lol

Honestly because I live close...it actually crossed my mind to just do a 4 hour drive there and drop it off myself...at least well save time and will be sure it was delivered

@Greenbaum I did send suplemental information to the USCIS since I omitted providing full 5 years of my work history. Will the USCIS update my status in their system once they receive my supplemental information? How do I know if they ever received it?

Give it some time and call them to verify.

I think that means that for the purposes of your timeline, your NOA1 is 12/27!

I don't really see where that makes a difference at all, nothing is valid until it reaches my hand

I wish that people would speak with a civil tongue. When someone tries to help you be thankful for their courtesy. If you don't like their answer just MOVE ON and not stop to make a rude comment. Just my 2 cents.

If this is in response to my comment, I meant absolutely no disrespect or rudeness at all. I am new to this immigration venture, and I was seriously asking if it makes a difference which date to use on the NOA1? If my comment was taking wrong, I apologize....

No. It wasn't directed to you. Just something we all have strive for, including me.

This does not surprise me as it often shows in the government that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.

@Solaris81

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

I'm not sure I set it up correctly. You said, select the flag in my profile. I don't see a flag.. Is it a country flag or an icon? Do I need to be using a non-mobile browser?

Exactly... I just hope they check this... We don't want to have them closing down offices that will see us with 2017 timeliness again
