THis all I see when I go into the Jamaica country discussion forum. I will just create a topic and put it into the Caribbean forum and hope it gets placed into the Jamaica group. Maybe I need to be on a computer.

This is not the place to place any sort of topic. You need to go to the Caribbean subforum to place your questions.

Isn't what's good for the goose good for the gander? I presented the other side of your argument. Keep in mind the "man with the gold makes the rules."

I agree with you. If we look from outside though I see where there are some who I question why they can survive on the little income that comes into their household. How people expect to live on a $9.00 an hour job and support their family is a real ####### shoot. The new rule takes the burden away from the taxpayer and puts it squarely on the shoulders of those who are seeking a GC. I only wish them nothing but happiness but it shouldn't be the taxpayers dime that helps them along that path.

Agree 100%. I'm new to this immigration game, and I couldn't believe when I found out recently about the federal poverty levels being the guidelines for sponsoring an immigrant. At least here in Sacramento, nobody can live at those levels. Maybe they'd cover rent, but that's about it.

I honestly feel like as long as people can support their families and your petitioner is able and willing to work everything should be fine, hopefully. Did they raise the poverty income levels?
