Manila shows its processing non immigrant visas with a 7 day waiting period for interviews, much lower than others I searched.

However, if that is the case, then why are so many people stuck at NVC

Because there is a boatload of cases and where you are in line is critical to when your file will be shipped to the embassy. Embassies are taking cases based on first come first served at NVC. Since USEM has so many cases the line is rather long.

So, the last thing I got was my NVC case number around Sept of 2020. CEAC says it's there. I might have misplaced the document I received, my question is if the number sequence beginning with MOS followed by 10 digits is my NVC or Immigrant Visa Case Number( same thing?) I haven't paid any fees yet.

I don't know if I should be doing something now or continue waiting for the Moscow embassy to open.

They must not be fully staffed either. Seems like only a few cases are approved each week.

I did a search to see if your embassy is open and it is, and that it is processing all types of visas. If you get a visa and can travel to another country not in Schengen area and self-quarantine for 14 days and then get a direct flight to US, you'll be fine.

Check to see if your embassy is processing visas and which ones. If your results return 999 that indicates that they are still not processing that visa type. Your mileage may vary.

E-mailed them again to ask if they were issuing K1s and they said no.

Last time i asked why it's because of the state department.

Last time i asked about travelling to another country, which i am willing to do and would do. They said no again.

Once you get a visa, and you can travel to a non-Schengen country, Irregardless of what the embassy states, quarantine and then a direct flight to the US is you something you are responsible for not the embassy. But they are the gatekeeper now and until they open you are pretty much stuck. Sorry.

When I went yesterday jan4 (USEM), there were only 2 consuls doing the interview. One inside a room who took more than an hour with her first applicant (mom and child). And another at a window who accepted applicants only after an hour the mom and child were called in. I guess the one at the window takes the applicants expected to have the normal duration of interviews. I was the first in line for the consul at the window so i dont know if additional consuls appeared after i left.

The lockdown in The PI and the holidays will impact the movement. Keep in mind that if a CO is taking a considerable amount of time with one case it is normally is they suspect fraud and are trying to properly adjudicate the case. I was in USEM for my wife's interview and I sat in the waiting are near a interview window and a sister were trying to get a visitor visa for herself and the nephew. That's looked to be fraud because if they both traveled on the vistor visa and the nephew stayed behind when and if the sister returned to the PI then that would have be visa fraud. Who is to say the sister wouldn't return? In the end and after a lengthy interview they were denied the visa. Stranger things have happened.

Sorry about that.

I had my timeline filled in but didnt realize there was another place to add info.

Should all be there now.

The embassy we are waiting on is Montreal.

thanks!

At this stage should/can i pull together the I-134 and supporting documents?

The list we have off VJ so far is below;

- I-134 - Affidavit of Support

- Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance
- Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)

- Original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance and your continued support of the K-1 Visa

The concern is if this is too far in advance? As in we expect an interview in February/March (fingers crossed) but if the letters and forms are dated January is this an issue?

Thanks!

Here is the problem of completing the form so early and without an interview date. That information can change and then you will need to return and make corrects to the form. My suggestion is get the form, review, collect the documents needed (the employment letter needs to be dated near the interview schedule date) for the I-134, Affidavit of Support. Then when you are near the interview date pull together everything needed for the I-134, Affidavit of Support for the interview. Here is the maximum amount of information for anyone embassy.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form I-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should present (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form I-134. Both the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g., letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, the value of properties, etc.). You may download the I-134 affidavit at https://www.uscis.gov/i-134. Bank statements in place of a letter from the bank will work just fine. Print the statement that shows the opening balance for a month and the closing balance for that month. Do that for 12 months—no need to print off all pages of a bank statement.

Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here:

Quick question if anybody knows the answer to this it would be helpful. Does applying for a residential visa in a Schengen country because of longer stay due to Covid affect the K1 visa while it is still in process? Tried finding the answer online for a friend but no results. We thought it would affect her K1 status as she would have to change her residency then. Thank you in advance.

Hello. I wanted to see if anybody here might have any details regarding update/case transfer? Any info or details on how that can be done and necessary steps to take? Case is backlogged at nvc since aug 2020, filed dec 2019😕. Need advice, if possible. Thank you.
