I have the certified copies of the court documents but the police report came in a pdf. For them to be certified they would have to be mailed and have some kind of stamp on them? I specified to the police records ppl that I needed certified copies and they said they will be certified but I don’t see how when it’s electronic. The rfe doesn’t really specify and say certified police report, they said they need the “certified court documents and police report “

The police wouldn't give me a certified letter. I asked, they said they didn't have a stamp or couldn't emboss it. The letter, however is printed on letterhead that shows the department name, it's kind of like a watermark. That's all they said they could provide.

@Willowmg

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

I submitted that information already. But i will check again. !

Hello everyone! So today I finally received the certified copies of my court documents and the police report after waiting a month. The concern im having is that the police report doesn’t seem to be certified and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be also. They sent the documents as pdf files unlike the court documents that were sent in the mail with the court seal. Anyone know if the police report has to be certified also? And another thing when I update my timeline do I put the date i sent back the RFE or the day they receive it? Thank you!

Did you get your RFE response submitted?

Hi all....new to this site. Our application was received 12/02/19. We are currently 196 days into our process. Feels like we're running in place 😕 They sent a request for additional information that was sent back and received on 05/27/20. Thats the last we've heard

At least you got an RFE. I have not heard anything. 12/3 NOA1

Sorry correction. 12/2 NOA 1 like you. I think I just realized that all the NOA 1 dates are 7 days apart.

What do you mean by 7 days apart?

Sorry. I was wrong. I did a thorough search of all the pending cases before mine. And a lot of them fell on dates 7 days before mine but I think it is just because it was a Monday and all the weekend cases are processed on Monday.

anyways I was able to see that there are about 60 cases with WAC numbers before mine. I hope they get to mine soon

We were approved on 28th of May and are yet to receive the hard copy of NOA2. Is this long wait normal?

I did send a case inquiry since it passed 12th of June as written in the notice online.

Should it be safe to call NVC and ask if our case is there? My fiance tried and automated speech said to go to their website as they are not dealing with inquires about cases?

Thanks in advance!
