Mailed on 12/10. Check has not been cashed yet, no NOA either.

Hang in there. I mailed mine Dec 3rd, check cashed Dec 10, and didn’t get a NOA until the Dec 15 through mail. It will come soon

Patience Grasshopper. It will come in good time. Takes 1-2 week normally for NOA1 letter to be sent from USCIS after check has been cashed.

I think I screwed up. I dropped my mailing in the USPS drop box near me. Our USPS people here have always been good. Anyway, I'm just now reading that the drop box can only be used for parcels weighing 10 ounces or less, regardless if sufficient postage has been applied. I'm pretty sure mine weighed more than 10 ounces. They're supposed to return the mailing to me, but it has to go to the local post office first. I'll wait another week, and if my check isn't cashed, or if the mailing isn't returned to me, I'll have to visit the office. Sad face.

How did you pay for postage? If it was done online, you should have a tracking number and it has updates if it’s going to be returned to the sender. I’ve also dropped heavier packages into the blue boxes before and they still ship it! Sending good vibes that it’s on it’s way to Texas!

I adhered 10 normal postage stamps to the envelope, which should be more than enough. I basically did this in a way that I will not receive any updates whatsoever. I chose convenience over assurance.

Yes, it was a blue box that I dropped it in. Thanks for the info, that makes me feel slightly better. I just think it's been too long for my check to not have been cashed yet.

I think you'll be ok. They didn't cash mine for 7 days. If you need to visit the office to make you feel better than definitely do that.

Gahhh, all that fretting for nothing. Just received my NOA1 via text. They still haven't cashed the check, however.

Yayyyy!!! Look at there! As long as they received it you know they will cash the check. That's the most important thing to them lol

Yeah you did screw up a package of that importance you should  never just  "drop" in the box  always go inside and get tracking. Well what's  done is done. Just be advised  now that you'll have to wait until either your check is cashed  or you receive  email or text if you requested it or you get your NOA1 in the mail or lastly USPS returns your package, all of which can take SEVERAL WEEKS!

Ahhhh I see your earlier post now, that's good they got it. Yeah I bet you where sweating bullets lol. Lesson learned..

Congratulations

Yep, like I said, convenience over assurance. Well, that portion is done now and I can move on. Now, if I don't receive my NOA2 within 2 weeks, I'll come back here and start complaining again 😇
