Good day,

Does anyone know if approval notices are sent out over the weekend?

They haven't in the past been approved notices sent out on a Saturday. Currently I would doubt that they would change that. When the pandemic is over and USCIS, NVC and your embassy is fully staffed that might change .

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Country and Visa Type: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RyJiLo_7WTmqvkzXXqLuOlVHm9oyhAES/view?usp=sharing

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hey all! I hopped on last night to see if approvals were rolling in and I practically jumped for joy when I saw! Our NOA1 is Dec 10th on USCIS so I hope we are right around the corner. I see on my case tracker app a few people around me have been approved 🥰

I am trying very hard to focus on getting our approval. I think last time I checked in I mentioned my fiancé needing to go back to Venezuela but his Peru residency was in limbo. His updated residency for Peru was approved and he picked up his new card the day he left, thank goodness. This means he can return and we can finish this all in Peru. But, of course now we are dealing with Covid-19. Peru has closed their borders until further notice so my fiancé is stuck in Venezuela. I know it will all work out in the end.

I have not seen him now for 6 months :( I just moved and have been busy getting our home ready for him. I hope he will be here sooner rather than later, I miss him dearly.

Hey guys so I’m a little confused as to the next steps and what they mean. So I kno after approval it goes to nvc. And they say to call nvc like two weeks after for case number but what exactly do you use the case number for? I’ve read you shouldn’t fill out form ds160 until your case has arrived at embassy. And also read nvc sends you the case number. So I’m a little confused as to what exactly to do when case is at nvc stage. And also @Greenbaum I see people asking for p3s is that the info of what is needed for the interview? I need one for Peru. Please and thank you. And thanks to anyone who may have an answer to my question! 😊

You call NVC to get your case number which then you will use to complete the DS-160 which then allows you to pay your interview fee and schedule the interview. If you wait for NVC to send the letter it can be 30 plus days before you have the case number from their letter.

The DS-160 can be completed at any time but for some embassies have a different process for this. So refer to your P3 letter to see what their instructions are before attempting to complete this form.

I don't have a Packet 3 letter that has all the requirements for your upcoming interview but what I have I will share below. Once you get in touch with your Embassy and they send you the P3 letter with all the requirements if would be so kind and share a copy with me then I can use it to help others in the future. Thanks.

Received NOA2 hard copy, notice date was 23/03/2020.

But you never received a text or an email prior to the letter, correct?  You just found out by visiting the website where you can check your status?

@Kariz congratulations 🎊 and good luck with everything!

Thank you!!! I was afraid that things would slow down because of the virus, but maybe not!! Maybe the state dept ppl are able to review more cases by working from home?

Congratulations on your approval! My fiancé and I are crossing our fingers for ours in the next week or so. We got our NOA1 December 10 so I’ve been on the edge of my seat 😬😬

I myself haven’t seen my fiancé since he had to go back to Chile in October and it is getting harder and harder every day we are apart! I never thought I could miss someone this much. Can’t imagine going many more months without seeing him now after all this COVID19.  If you need an ear feel free. We all need to vent! Good luck to you guys and thank you for the good news on the thread. Gives us hope to see everyone getting approved despite what the globe is facing.
