Hi,
I’m a Korean citizen (both my parents are Korean citizens). My dad was working in Taiwan when I was born, so I was born in Taiwan. I preparing to get my K1 visa, and I was wondering if I would need my Taiwan birth certificate (which i do not have....). Would my Korean birth certificate (basic certificate) suffice? 

PLEASE HELP.

I believe they will ask for your original BC which will be from Taiwan.

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

The basic certificate should work as its the official form used and recognized in Korea. I would call them up and ask though if you are worried.
