I am very depressed, I need some help here, After co approved my visa on the 24th oct, case on CEAC says ready and when wife contacted them, next day it changes to Administrative Processing and later that day I got a letter from the embassy stating I should submit....

the letter I got from embassy

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email.

The interviewing officer reviewed your case, and we require you to submit  continued and recent communications between you and your spouse (phone calls, messages, etc), proof of spouse subsequent visits to Nigeria/S.A., recent photographs.

Sincerely,

responded back to the embassy where to send the document, as I waited for days without response I had to send the documents through Aramex and I paid for it.

Now later I got the DHL certificate in email, do you think its going to be a problem as I have mailed it express mail through Aramex to the embassy and I saw they got it as someone signed for it.

Who have gone through this process and how long will it take since I have already mailed it out to them for them to look at and finish already.

AP is open-ended.  It takes as long as it takes.    Do you have red flags, like not much time spent together in person, or married on first visit?

This is one of those cases where someone could look at it and approve it today, or it might sit in a pile for a month or even longer until they are able to review the case.  You may want to look at your embassy/consulate specific information online and see if they don't have any special rules for contacting them.

Try giving their phone number or contacting their Skype a call just to ask if they received the document.  If you are polite and don't act too many questions, maybe they can at least ensure the document was received.  The wait after in AP can be anything from another day to months, you never really know where they sit on case loads.

The thing is after my interview I didn't get the 221.g paper. I got the approved sheet and after 4 weeks didn't see my visa issued, my wife called and they put us on AP, So I am wondering because I didn't get the 221g my case might be faster because I had my interview 24th oct and since then I am in this.

Unfortunately even though the co can approve on the day, I believe it's possible for the supervisor who still reviews each case to find a need for AP and move the case there. Now it's just a waiting game but seems reasonable to contact the embassy just to make sure they have your documentation.

The issue is I didn't get 221g after my interview, I got approved and later they requested for all the evidence I took with me on the day of my interview, do you think it will be quicker since I didn't get a 221g ?

Honestly 221g administrative processing can be quick or take time (it's really hard to determine), and basically what I am saying is even though the consular office said you were approved it appears as though a supervisor which usually signs off on approvals decided you need administrative processing and basically the email they sent out is your 221g so you're likely subject to exact same process that anyone who gets a 221g would be.

Yes you are right, I checked my CEAC site today and I saw they touched it as the date updated today. I am hoping for good news
