I brought my wife to the US on K1 visa and filed I-751 last November. Her green card anniversary is 2/1 so we decided to file N-400 for her. We've just got a notice for her biometrics appointment for I-751 this Monday. The problem is the appointment was on 11/4. We bought a house and moved to the new house and put in a forward mail request and it took the post office more than a month to forward the notice to our new address that causes us to miss the appointment.

My question is will the missing appointment complicate my wife's N-400 application? Will my wife need to have another biometrics appointment for N-400 (we already paid the biometrics for the N-400) or will they just use the biometrics from I-751?

I think maybe your dates are wrong? If she’s only been here since last November it’s way too early to apply for naturalization. Did you update your address with USCIS or only the post office?

can't rely on post office to forward mail from DHS

i think they have to return them to USCIS to be sent on to any new address so you are lucky post office mailed it on

you have to update address with USCIS always till that naturazation paper is in hand and then you still have to update the new status with SS office (this really is the very last step)

Thank you. But my questions were will the missing appointment complicate my wife's N-400 application? Will my wife need to have another biometrics appointment for N-400 (we already paid the biometrics for the N-400) or will they just use the biometrics from I-751?

Was the missed one not for N-400? Others yes she should have one for that one also unfortunately.
