Hello all,

I have just had my EB-3 green card approved after 4 years on TN visa, expecting passports and sealed packet in the mail today or tomorrow. I am wondering if anyone can shed light on what to expect when we go to POE?

Currently we are still living in Canada and are planning to move to US for January 1st. Anyone have experience with this? Essentially I will be commuting to work from Canada for the next several weeks on green card until we move into our new place in US. Will this be a problem? Lawyer seems to think that it is not an issue, but I wanted to check if anyone has experience with this. Any information about what to expect at POE when crossing for first time to get green card stamp would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you do some searching you'll find it's not an issue to activate your visa ahead of moving, however be aware that you may want to purchase temporary insurance in Canada as you can't be a resident of Canada and a resident of the USA for social services (aka healthcare, GST/HST cheques, etc..)
