N-400 Dec 2019 Filers

With my spouse and daughter both waiting for interviews I’d love it if this was true. Still don’t see how it’s legal. I’ve heard of rare rejections without interview for things like filing too early. Never heard of this before given the test requirements. Waiting to see if they just get oath ceremony notices or if there is something else they need to do at least on the day.

Hi, any updates from the California filers? Any idea why all the offices in CA are closed and when will they open up.

Bunch of offices around the country are still closed. Local conditions are different.

Yup. We've asked her to keep us updated on her husband's oath ceremony. The story is they filed ROC in 2017, then he was eligible for naturalization in 2018....so they filed in October 2018 and had been ghosted by USCIS without any updates since then until a few days ago when she got that email about the case.

Quite frankly, it's unbelievable that they were approved for n400 without any interviews but she has the letter to prove it so we shall see the outcome.

Honestly I dont believe in that story witnout Interview, even if it is true its a mistake. I dont believe that USCIS will let anyone to pass without interview. Its not that I would not like it but its not real. Its ilegal for sure. Unless they decide to just give away just like that.

The wording of the letter sounds a bit strange to me. It is specifically a RoC approval and then says “our records also indicate” n400 approval. Why wasn’t there a stand-alone N400 approval letter if that was the case?
Someone mentioned more than one of these, does anyone know how the other letters are worded - any approvals of n400 specifically?

Right! Because then, they should waive everyone else's n400 interview like an ROC imho....🥴

Please update of anyone has had interview rescheduled as offices open up. Interested in knowing if your online account updated, you received a text message, the local office called you, you got a letter in mail? And how long of a notification did you receive, prior to the interview date.

I've never heard of a waived N400 interview. However I did have my second GC interview for the 10 yr card waived and got the GC sent in the mail, while still thinking I was waiting for my interview.

Most removal of condition does not require  an interview.

A number of GC interviews get waived. Even some diversity visa AOS cases get approved without interview, obviously these cases have everything uscis needs sent in in the packs. Different from n400 where manual states all applicants are required to appear for an in person interview.  Again, I am interested for anyone to show that they have received a letter that is explicitly for the n400 case that is approval without interview. Again, I’d be thrilled if this happens, but ...

In my case, (San Antonio office) I was notified on egov website about 12 days prior. Got a letter in the mail about a week before the ceremony.

Thanks, but not for ceremony but for those that have had interview de-scheduled due to office closures and who are now getting interviews rescheduled.
