I think they try to be funny. It is completely cool.

When did you get your GC? 2015

When did you get married? 2015

When did you get divorced? 2016

Thanks.

Then you have nothing to worry about.

Your English is terrible. You would fail the English test and the interview. The interviewing officer would not understand you. You need to hire a lawyer to practice with you and to help you out.

please do not judge anyone on the basis of there English. I think its way better. he seems lost and may have anxiety. I don't know him but seems like he is trying to find a answer. please be sympathetic. He will not fail any interview. he will be fine as other member stated.

My Time line is Updated!

The interviewing officer will make him write a sentence in English. If people write "there English"  or "a answer" and nobody tells them it is wrong, they will never improve. This is not about "judging", but helping each other out.

soso 723, a question for you that has nothing to do with the current string of comments.  Have you already submitted your N-400 and have you had any positive or negative contact with the Jacksonville field office?  Based on what I've read the Jacksonville office is efficient in processing applications in a timely manner.  What has your experience been so far?  I ask because I am in Miami, the field office here moves at glacial speed, and I have the means to just move to a city with a field office that is quick, relatively speaking, in processing N-400 applications.  Thanks...

see, it is because we waste our time on non-sense that important information is filtered out.  I posted yesterday that I have not received my interview date yet, although I did the biometrics on Dec 23 and Jacksonville people who did them in January now know their interview dates. It might be because I originally filed in Las Vegas and had the biometrics there. I called USCIS and they told me my file is still with the National Benefits Center and that I should wait. My estimated case completion time is May 2020 and the waiting time for the next step is 2 months.

I would advise you to move to Jacksonville it will reduce your waiting time by 6 months.

Giovanna, the posted wait time for Miami is 8 to 31 months.  Not only does the processing time concern me but also the inefficiency of the field office.  This field office still has an extensive backlog of applications that they haven't even begun to process.  Pretty soon my spouse will qualify to submit the N-400 and I would rather do it in a place that at least the weather is warm and the field office is proactive at processing applications.  Jacksonville, Tampa, Raleigh, NC, Cleveland, Ohio, the later two are the best in the country.  They are processing applications in a matter of a few months. What date did Miami give you?

If you move just remember the 3 month rule.

Apply in MIami, then move and ask for your file to be transferred to your new office. The 3 month rule says you have to reside 3 months in the county before applying, so apply in Miami-Dade and then transfer the file.

But they also need time to transfer your case so you can’t just compare yourself to those who have been at that local office all the time.

He can do that yes but it depends on when he moves and when his wife can file.

I'm familiar with the 3 month rule.  Also, I know to use the calculator, especially since this is a leap year.  It's easy to be off by a day or two and then have the application rejected.  Thanks...

The plan is to move prior to the 3 month rule and establish ourselves before applying.  Definitely will not file in Miami and then have the case transferred for fear of something going wrong.
