Hello all,

I was K1 but got divorced. I have a GC now. I am from the Middle East.
It is about time to apply for N400.
I am not sure how easy or hard the interview and the officer questions about why did you get divorce in less than a year.

My question, do I have to hire a lawyer. Or it is ok/easy to do it by myself?
I am just worried about the interview since I was married and divorced through K1 waiver

Thanks.

What is the perceived catastrophe?  In other words what are you worried about or is there something in your marriage history (length of living together that is very short after the marriage)?   Very difficult to have the group here help when it appears you are not stating your concerns.

I think you are right. I may just worried for no reason.
Specially there is no perceived catastrophe.
I am just don't know what to do and where to start. I have also worried for not getting the naturalization. It could be worried and lack of information.

I think my question also for someone may have similar experience with K1, and Divorce wavier.

Thank you,

Yes, Galileo Gafer, do hire a lawyer, your English is not good and you are completely lost.

Thank you for your advise.

I think you meant go instead of do. There are so many commas in the sentence, I am not sure what do you exactly mean with that.
I know my English is not perfect but at least it is better than yours. Plus I speak few other languages too.

Thanks

Your English is terrible. You would fail the English test and the interview. The interviewing officer would not understand you. You need to hire a lawyer to practice with you and to help you out.

Do you know what could be the fee for the lawyer? I mean like an average money range.

By the way, your English is better than mine.

Thanks

Galileo, the sentence is fine and the word "do" is  correct and your grammar or english  is not better than "solo 723".  If I may give you a piece of Shakespearean advice, "get thee to the classroom".

Dude 1 more time for the lawyer u don't really have to, as long as u apply in the 5 years process you'll be fine, if u were arrested or didn't file ur taxes, that could b a problem

By the way word English has to be capital in the sentence. It is a proper noun. You might be right though.

Well, he also said "You speak an infinite deal of nothing." but it is ok.

Thanks

I think that is a reasonable approach to take.  If, while you are doing your application online, you encounter any difficulties or you don't understand something, just ask for assistance of the members of this site.  Good luck to you...

I think they try to be funny. It is completely cool.

When did you get your GC? 2015

When did you get married? 2015

When did you get divorced? 2016

Thanks.
