I got my interview letter! It is scheduled for February 27th. Gotta start to study for the test!! It is happening too fast, LOL 😳

Congratulations!   For your sake I hope it's Raleigh because they complete the majority of the applications within 4 months.   Charlotte isn't as efficient as Raleigh but they complete the majority of their cases in the first 5 months.

But the civics test isn't all that hard. I would say there are about 20 questions you actually need to study. The rest is common knowledge.

We could start a game. What are your top two worst questions?

Mine are the writers of the federalist papers and the name of the chef justice.

Haven't got my interview scheduled but did have a quick glance at those questions. My answer to your question would be question on the government. Those on history are fun actually.

To those studying for the test, do remember that the actual test will not be multiple choice questions.  The interviewer will just ask you a question and you have to respond without having choices to pick from.  In the words you  just answer the question.  The written part of the test will consist of the interviewer asking you a question and after you answer it he or she will ask you to write down your answer.

Does either date truly mean something? If so, how come they are quite different? Thanks!Capture.PNG.4b74e5e19b9b7ca875b6760b73d8c585.PNG

I see you are an upstater? Are you by any chance in Buffalo, NY?  If your application is in this office then it is highly possible the 20 days, albeit very fast, is accurate.  Currently, Buffalo is number two in the country for processing N-400s the fastest.  The average time is 3.5 -7 months.  Raleigh, NC and Buffalo, NC have made the  USCIS offices highly efficient and responsive.

The first one is their estimated time for complete processing of your N-400.
The lower one is for next action on your case. So about 20 days til they schedule your interview.

Do mind that those dates can go both ways. Processing can be way faster or delayed.

Example some people have completed estimated time late 2020 but have already had their interview and some go over that time.

They same with the lower one. They can schedule it faster then the time it says or over. Example I’m 2 weeks past my time so it just says we are taking longer to process your case then expected bla bla.

No Im in Syracuse. My coworkers told me it was very fast here. However, I didn't find it listed on the website.
