Lol yes, and I have only left the country once in 5 years for 4 days.

Then there is only one conclusion; The person you spoke to at USCIS gave you bad information or misunderstood your question.   My advice, you already got your biometrics date (did you have them done yet?) and most likely the interview letter will follow soon.

Yeah I believe she was wrong as well but I won't even call back. I rather to speak to people who are actively going through the process while I wait.

I highly doubt I will get an interview for now because I'm in NYC but I hope that can happen.

Based on the date you filed 01/04/2020, you are fine with the date You were very smart not to apply on the early date of April 2, 2020 because of difficulties a a few others have had applying on the official date.    Really, you caught a person that didn't understand the issue and she gave you bad information.  Enjoy NY and just let the process run its course....

I think I might get approval today from Amadia.

It's April 1st 2015.

You definitely applied within your eligibility for 5yr-based rule....that rep can kick rocks 😂

Suggestion: join the January 2020 n400 filers group (if you haven't yet) and there are threads for NY filers for the various centers.

Congratulations!  Of course you are located where one of the best USCIS field office in the country is located.  You should have your citizenship within the next 15 weeks or so.  They move fast in Buffalo

29 days today on my USCIS account but the field office says up to 7.5 months.  Attorney said it would likely be in under 2 weeks and they were right.  Hopefully letter(s) come soon for you all as well.

I've been coming in/out of that office since the mid 90's since my family has a long and storied past with what was INS and now USCIS. It's always been a pleasure at that office. Easy to get to, lots of parking, no line ups...etc. Staff has always been superb as well.

Giovanna, we are neighbors, I also live in Miami (South Beach).  Miami is definitely in the top 5 worse USCIS field offices.  When my wife is ready to apply we'll move to either Hialeah (it's getting better and maybe with the next update towards the end of this month Hialeah might just show a 4 to 6 month processing time) or Cleveland, Ohio which is the best in the country.  I want to avoid a long process so that if we want to we'll have the option of going back to Europe or at least spend long periods there of more than 6 months.  :-)
