That's the time mentioned as of two months ago....However, all the sites are under pressure to process the applications much quicker.  Probably around January 25 we'll get updates on all the sites around the country and I suspect we'll see improvements across the board.:-)

As a means of studying for the Naturalization test, I'd like to start posting five questions daily and I hope that everyone who decides to answer would do so honestly without using Google or their test booklet to search for the answer. I am doing this so as to simulate when we are sitting in front of the officer as in an actual interview. In this way, we can all polish up on our US history and the local/state government personnel.

Here are the first five randomly selected questions:

  1. Who is the Governor of your state?
  2. How many amendments does the Constitution have?
  3. What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?
  4. Name one war fought by the United States in the 1900s?
  5. What are two Cabinet-level positions?

Like this idea! Sadly the husband would benefit more and I was a history major haha.

so I’ll refrain from answering :)

Hi,

I just joined to the group. Filled on 12/29 (online) . est. waiting time 4 months.

The estimated waiting time came from USCIS or is it the time you expect to wait before you become a citizen?

Four months is very fast and much shorter than the posted time for Indiana of 5 to 13 months.  I am seeing a trend that the USCIS offices around the country are trying to process new not only applicants faster but also reduce as quickly as possible any backlogs.  Congratulations...The 13 days might have to do with getting your biometrics or fingerprints done.  (BTW, Hungary is a great country that I visited many times.)
