You can’t. When you get you notice letter it will have a case number on it and then you can go online and add it as a paper file and hopefully it will come by then. Otherwise see if there are others from your local center and see what there time is until then.

I surmise you already know the approximate processing times for the N-400 for  Chicago, but just in case you don't I will post them for you.  A caveat, the processing times for Chicago are valid as of one month ago.   Approximately 50% of the applications are processed within 7.5 months or 228 days. An additional 40% are processed within 15 months.  The remaining 10% take longer than 15 months.

Here is the link which is updated every 2 months

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

USCIS is trying to speed up the processing of the N-400 applications.

The next update should be around January 22...

Best of luck to you....

I printed mine and took it with me.

I got the update on Dec 14 that my biometrics was scheduled and mailed out but I never saw anything on my Informed Delivery app. I took a chance today after I got my kid from school. It was EMPTY so I got lucky and was seen right away! The security only asked why I couldn't keep my original date of Dec 30 and I told him I was hoping to be seen today since I may not have child care on that specific date.

For those of you that filed Dec 16 or after, did you notice when you reviewed & printed or saved the pdf if it was the old or new N400 edition date?

Good morning everyone,

I noticed in the spreadsheet that some of you had pending 751's. Anyone on here filed that filed their N-400 already have 751 approval? My 751 was recently approved (Nov. 26). Took a while. ☹️

We used the new form but this is a valid point for those who prepared their N-400 a little earlier and are just waiting to mail it off.
