Every agent at USCIS contact center keeps telling me that I have to just continue waiting but the "within normal processing times" is so not normal!

Nobody is acknowledging that the clock kicked back 2 years and initially when the receipt file date showed July 2019, it updated to July 2017.

No Congressman/Senator/Attorney is willing to help or try to hold USCIS accountable under the Mandamus Act or even the Administrative Procedures Act which is what needs to be done!

I think that is just a glitch in their system and yes no one is fixing it but I don’t think it really means much online other then people can’t do outside of processing request because of that. Hopefully they will start processing more as more centers seem to get going.

With the Southern Illinois Court holding up on judicial Naturalization ceremonies, I decided to drop the name change request. I used the USCIS account to send a message and they called me back today. Right after the call my status changed to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed".

How can I request to drop the name change request on my online application? Maybe that would help my case move abit.

Did you do your interview already? I believe it would only speed up your process if the only thing pending was the Oath. You can either send them a message through your online account or call them, I believe both ways would work. In my case I first sent a message through the online account asking if I could do my ceremony in another jurisdiction (I live close to a state border and with just a 30 minutes drive I could be at the other state, where they were doing ceremonies already, while my state was on this eternal hold). Then they called me, saying I couldn't do the ceremony there because of the name change. Then I told them to drop it. They even looked and told me through the phone when the next ceremony would be. Easy.

No I haven’t had my interview yet but I live in Atlanta GA, the field office here can make you a citizen same day as interview but they can’t do name change in there offices. Only a judicial court can do that request. I have a feeling my case is being held back because of the name change request but I don’t know...

150 days since my original interview got scheduled and 220 days since my I751 got transferred. And still nothing 😭 original interview date was March 31st. Extension letter good until August 24th. I’m so OVER this
