I-129F Checklist

I thought i start a thread for a checklist for the I-129F for those of us waiting for the I-130 NOA1 to file the I-129F. Let me know if i missed anything.

Also, the VJ guide says to make a copy of the back of the naturalization certificate but mine is blank. thoughts?

1) Payment in the amount of $170.00 payable to the Department of Homeland Security

2) Form I-129F, Petition for K-1/K-3 Fiancé(e)/Spouse Visa

3) A completed and signed Form G-325A for petitioner

4) Passport style color photos for petitioner

5) A completed and signed Form G-325A for beneficiary

6) Passport style color photos for beneficiary

7) A copy of my original Certificate of Naturalization

8) A copy of the NOA1 from the I-130

9) A copy of our marriage certificate and photos from the wedding ceremony

After July 30th the fee will change.

I should think that it would be the same as when a birth certificate is blank on the back - just put a note saying "naturalization cert blank on reverse" or similar.

Tonight I have scheduled a 9pm conference call with my husband to make sure we are all on track for when the NOA finally arrives.

Just a question on wedding photos. Our are just awful and taken on a mobile camera due to our friend forgetti ng to pick up the proper camera and we were only married in Judges chambers due to having to have a bit of a rush job before my husband signed into his new duty station. Therefore are photos resally necessary? they are just that bad!

I think if you look at the back of the copy you made, it will magically appear identical to the back of the original. If so, you WILL be submitting a copy of both sides.

I put in zero evidence except for our marriage certificate in our I-130 because I used an expired form that did not ask for it. My petition was approved. We will have plenty of evidence at the interview though!

Er, to answer you question, I see no value in including any of that with your I-129F. Just follow the instructions, give what they ask for.

This isn't required or asked for with the I-129F. Did you send some of the above with your I-130? I guess if I had it, I would show the co-mingling of financial resources.

This isn't required or asked for with the I-129F. Did you send some of the above with your I-130? I guess if I had it, I would show the co-mingling of financial resources.

OK now I am really confused about the proof of relationship... Do we or do we not need all this I.-IV. ? I need to know before my wife sends the g-325a forms..... HELP!!!!!

Getting ready to send the 129F and need some advise on my question above. Basically should i include :

2) Copy of the three affidavits sworn to and affirmed by third parties that were sent with the I-130

Also, I have record so for Part C, 1) I put N/A and Part C 2) i checked No and for part C 3) I ignored it.

haha mine are bad too! i had no electricity so no curling iron or blow dryer, i slept in those awful hard curlers and woke up with them stuck all over the mosquito net. My hair was a nest. I finally got it fixed and walked outside just as the heavens opened up and let an ocean pour down on me. As soon as it cleared up we were back to the sweltering heat. My 1 year old coated me in bbq sauce and cookie yuck. The pic i use on here is evidence of that crazy day.. we look miserable! I'll send the pics just to give the guy/lady a good laugh.

I would include everything you have. It beats delaying things.

What kind of documents could show co-mingling of financial resources? I can't get him on my bank account because he doesn't have a ss#. I can't get him on my stinkin car title unless he's present in front of a notary. All I could come up with was make him my pension and life insurance beneficiary, which is what I did and I will probably send that to them not because they may want it but because eventually it will be seen by the consulate. I am planning to answer Part C exactly as you have.

Sworn affidavits are good. I have our son's b/c but I'm not even sure that's going to convince those crazy people at the Lagos Consulate. They've sent many away requesting a DNA test. That's fine if they do, we have nothing to hide but obviously we don't want to delay things if it's avoidable.

The reason for them asking for the back of your Certificate of Naturalization is :

My Certificate came with a wrong birth date typed...so when I petitioned for change, they took my certificate stamped it in the back with the correct birthdate. So when I provided the back of Certificate it shows the correct birthdate, that is probably the reason why they ask for the back, to check if there are any adjustments done to the certificate.
