NVC has sent the electroninc file and physical file on 25th may to chennai consulate through DHL. When enquired on phone, chennai consulate responds that they have received only electronic file so far , but not the physical file.

I just cant believe DHL is so slooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i remember the narrator (morgan freeman) in the movie Shawshank redemption saying that "prison time is slow".

i think "waiting time is slower" and "my case processing is slowest". :crying::crying:

come on morons ( uscis & dhl & chennai consulate) move it faster

I think its also a question of who determines the "legit" folks in the system. There is so much fraud in India with marriage that the consulate seems to move at a slower pace than we'd like. You can't even get tourist visas anymore unless you are ultra rich or famous. I read a post here of someone who came on a B2 visitor visa from India and then was married within a month of getting here and then doing AOS!!! And then we wonder why they don't believe people when they say they are "just going to visit" from India. It just makes it harder for everyone else.

i dont agree with you , if you say that because of fraudulent cases , things are getting slower . And even i dont agree if some one says unless you are ultrarich or famous you will get a visa.

After reading so many other forums and come across with people who has beeen rejected a visa and , all i say is US visa processing for B1/B2 is purely a matter of chance . My fiancee friend's parents were denied a visa , last year , inspite of previous visits abiding to all visa regulations, inspite of showing crores of properties and business documents.

There is a news all over that when the visa officers are trained for that job, they are trained to use their gut feelings, face readings of the applicants from thier photos, in that short 10 minutes allotted for each applicant by the consulate.

I got a 2 year B1/B2 in 2005 after a grilling session of 12 minutes. My colleague whose turn was exactly after mine in the adjacent line , was interviewd for 2 minutes , 2 questions, 10yr multiple entry visa , applying for the same project form the same company we were working for. Can anyone beat it. There are thousands of such examples.

Fraud is universal , its with evry other nation . Please dont single out India.

My last question , how sensible do you think USCIS guys are to give an interview date to that person whom you mentioned above , entered on B2 and applied for AOS marrying withn in 30 days.

So its the USCIS that is mired in inefficiency , tell them to recruit more human personnel and expedite the process.

No hard feelings.

Fraud may be universal, however the US Department of State seems to think India is one places where it occurs more frequently.

My file has been sent on May 31st. I was also told that chennai consulate has the electronic file, but not the physical one. I really wonder why DHL is so slow. I sent I-134 documents to my husband on June 4th via fedex and he got them by June 8th. Come one DHL...........
