President Trump’s former national security advisor, John Bolton, posted a cryptic tweet on Tuesday declaring that America’s commitment to national security has faltered. “It probably goes without saying, that our country’s commitment to our national security priorities is under attack from within,” Bolton wrote. “America is distracted. Our enemies are not. We need to make U.S. national security a priority.” It’s unclear exactly what Bolton is referring to in the tweet, but the website of his political action committee emphasizes the need to make “grave and growing” national security threats a “priority” in upcoming elections. The former ambassador made a comeback on Twitter recently, claiming the White House withheld access to his personal account.

What is interesting is that Trump has had a great deal of accomplishments even with his managerial style, but for some reason Nancy is holding up things like the USMCA, lower prescription prices, etc., for a fishing  trip.

To be fair, "touchy feely" is one of the few things in the political universe where we can definitely say "both sides do it."

Of course he has a book coming out.  What amazes me is the love affair the Washington elite (both sides) has with the mainstream media.  Particularly those that lean Right, don’t they realize the media will only give them nice coverage if it agrees with their own political bias?

The worrisome thing is Trump's naive affinity for putting neocons in his cabinet. Just about every one of them has turned on him thus far after trying (unsuccessfully) to derail his Presidency, Bolton was an obvious one that was destined to happen the second Trump didn't cater to these warmongering lunatics. 

 

Trump has at least one more prominent neocon still there -- Pompeo. I won't ever be comfortable with that.
