I called CSC around 22 May (asking about a possible RFE) and a woman there told me that both my petitions were approved May 16.

Consistently with that, NVC got whatever they get after a I-129F K3-oriented approval on about 25 May.

But I still don't have NOA2 from CSC and CRIS isn't updated to reflect the approvals.

Is anyone else sitll in a situation like this?

9-18-2005 Visa in hand
11-23-2005 She arrives in USA
1-18-2006 She returns to Russia, engaged but not married

11-10-2006 We got married!

2-12-2007 I-130 sent by Express mail to NSC
2-26-2007 I-129F sent by Express mail to Chicago lock box
6-25-2007 Both NOA2s in hand; notice date 6-15-2007
9-17-2007 K3 visa in hand
11-12-2007 POE Atlanta

8-14-2008 AOS packet sent
9-13-2008 biometrics
1-30-2009 AOS interview
2-12-2009 10-yr Green Card arrives in mail

2-11-2014 US Citizenship ceremony

don t worry about it. call NVC and get the case # if there is one. if you have a case number call DOS to find out the status

NVC: 603 334 0700

DOS(department of states) 202 663 1225 - press 1 and then 0 (no need to wait for the messages to finish up) they are very very helpful

2-8-2007: I-130 petition sent on ...forgot to do the overnight

2-12-2007: Receipt Date - Received by Texas USCIS

2-16-2007: Notice Date

2-22-2007: check cashed

2-24-2007: Received NOA1 letter in mail (from CA)

5-16-2007: touched

5-17-2007: approved

5-21-2007: NOA2 in da mail

2-26-2007: sent 129f overnight via USPS (should get to them on 2-27-2007 by noon)

3-1-2007: Receipt date - Received by chicago center (noted on Notice I-797)

3-5-2007: Notice Date (I-797)(Also noted on the Notice I797-C)

3-7-2007: Check cashed

3-10-2007: Received NOA1 in the mail(Notice I797)

3-15-2007: Notice Date on the I797-C

3-17-2007: USCIS Web site updated to notify of transfer

3-20-2007: Notice of transfer in mail

3-30-2007: Touch #1 CSC updated USCIS web site to notify me that they have my case

4-2-2007: touched (#2)

5-16-2007: touched

5-17-2007: Approved

5-21-2007: NOA2 in da mail

5-29-2007: case # assigned...

5-30-2007: Forwarded to mumbai consulate

6-1-2007:Mumbai sent out packet 3

6-13-2007: called DOS and NVC to make sure mumbai had the case. we never got the packet 3 perhaps no one was at home!?!?

6-14-2007: Wife overnights packet 3 which was downloaded from the mumbai consulate site, filled it out, and sent it in along with other documents

6-15-2007: packet 3 delivered to mumbai consulate

I know about that part -- and as you can see in my sig, I know that we are stuck in Administrative Processing. Our AP experience began on about 30 May. I call them Monday morning's. Why Monday's? My theory is that good news is better on Monday than bad news is on Friday -- and bad news on all the other Monday's before good-news-Monday just blend into the rest of what Monday's are all about!

I bet we are in AP because I brought my wife here on a K1 and she didn't marry me at that time. Current government practice has the perverse (intended? unintended?) consequence of penalizing those who don't rush into marriage pell mell but take it seriously, deliberately, and only after a lot of discernment.

People in Visa Waiver countries have it so much easier: they can come and visit as many times as they want while they deliberate on moving to a foreign culture.

But I do want her to be able to provide copies of my NOA2s when she eventually gets her interview. And it is approaching a month after our approval, with no NOA2s. Two days back I called CSC again, talked with someone on the misinformation line, and provoked someone to touch my petitions yesterday and the day before. But CRIS hasn't changed its status and the approval notice has apparently not yet been printed.

Sorry for the vent!
