FX1 Visa Issued. No Visa Packet Given By Embassy!

Hi everyone, 

 

So my wife got the visa after the interview and got her passport back. However, they did not give her the sealed packet. When asked, they told her that all her documents are in the system. Doesn’t need the packet and thats the new way.

 

Any of you had that experience? If it is that, are they doing point of entry processing? Or can she just go through immigration as normal?

Seems that recently they’ve been electronically sending the packet and not giving out the magical envelopes.  She’s good to go.

Sealed packets are something of the past.

Visas are digitalized nowadays.

If you take a look at her visa you'll see an "Annotation" stating "IV Docs in CCD (Consular Consolidated Database) "

That means all her documents are available to immigration services in electronic form.
