Funny...no one ever mentions this. Has it been conveniently forgotten perhaps...since it was committed by a US Citizen?

No-one mentions this because nothing can stop a U.S. citizen from blowing stuff up.

We can however stop foreigners from blowing stuff up by not letting them in.

I've gone through US POE's enough times to know that the DHS and the TSA has its share of bad/rude employees.

Some of the rudest immigration officials I have spoken to have been in the UK and AUS. DOHS is not a customer service oriented agency. While training would go a long way, in todays world they should ask, "what the ###### are you doing here..."

Never had much of a problem with UK POE officers - as they pretty much just wave citizens through with a quick glance at the passport. Wouldn't be surprised if they're more aggressive with foreign visitors.

they might believe it.. but since he was a dentist in London, he can also say he was having tea with Osama and the Queen..

Interesting to see how the same people who condemn such interrogation kicked up a storm about certain sept 11 terrorists being allowed through from Canada.. How do we know he was not cocky or rude to them. Thousands of people with Muslim beliefs pass through US customs daily without an issue..

Er - setting the record straight once again - there were NONE, zero, zilch, nada, not a single Seprember 11 terrorist who entered the US from Canada or were even in Canada. The majority were already in the US having arrived via Europe and were on legitimate - albeit expired in some cases - visas issued by the US authorities. Repeat after me - NO SEPTEMBER 11 TERRORISTS HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH CANADA

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Someone with some common sense. Most developed countries including Canada have various forms of profiling.

I am not surprised people are taking the word of one person. It's a cultural thing and even happens on a smaller scale with children in the US; where a parent will actually question a teacher based on the word of a 8 year old..

oh, so you mean you shouldn't believe the word of an 8 year old?

"mommy, the teacher touched me funny today"

"oh honey, you must just be dreaming"

that sound about right?

lol if people thought as some of yall think here, there wouldn't be a tourism industry...I agree that DHS are not customer service reps, but if other people want to come to visit something in the US, it's the first people who they see, and if there's a ###### who's asking stupid questions, probly they wouldn't come again.. its not a good idea to underestimate the profits of tourism..

That is more the exception.

I have heard of many cases where parents defend their child and actually ask the teacher to define fagot as it is apparently not an offensive word or a teacher being accused of lying about their kid picking on other kids because their child said so.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.
