Traveling on AP with new passport

Hello!

I got my EAD-AP combo card a few days ago and I need to travel back home for 10 days due to a family emergency.

My passport is going to expire in 5 months so I can either renew it in the US or renew it back home if I go.

However I am wondering if it could create any issue at re-entry to US if I have a new passport while coming back? OR Can I enter US with Indian passport expiry less than 6 months?

Anyone has any idea or any experience?

Thanks in advance for your help!

don't know if you get the old one back in your country

we got ours three weeks after getting new one but both our counties had new passport ID #'s

to be safe ,  if you renew there,  make a copy of the profile page and the visa stamped page (helps also to photo the US stamped page for the entry into the US when you came on the K1)

Thanks!

we do get the old one back. So after renewal, I'll have both the old (Current) and the new passport with me.

I'll keep those as a soft copy and a hard copy to be on the safe side.

Would that create any issue at the US entry point or showing all the documents (old passport, new passport, EAD-AP combo card, marriage certificate, K-1 visa stamp, US driving license) should be sufficient?
