I got the same EXACT email!
and just like i thought... this was my response to my email to the Embassy

"Dear Madam,

Thank you for your email message.

The case is currently pending the necessary administrative processing. The time frame required to process and review individual cases is difficult to predict. Once the process is completed, we will process the case to conclusion.

Regards,

Consular Staff

NM

Wow! They are still sending that copy of a letter out eh? Gosh girls, I'm so sorry Cairo still has their thumbs up their backsides. I remember when Khallid was told he'd have his visa in 6 weeks! As much as I know you girls probably don't want to hear this....don't believe anything till you see that letter "Visa has been processed to conclusion and he should have his visa within 10 working days." Or better yet....beleive it when your husbands call and has it in their hands! We got to deal with checks being done, receiving the email saying visa would be processed to conclusion only to be put back on a different check again. I had my hopes up many, many times, only to get slammed down. I would hate anyone to have to deal with all the emotional B.S I went through. Stay strong for each other because this time is VERY trying on a relationship. Each of you all are in my prayers. (F)

Thanks Amy! That's what we all need right now is prayer! I have never had to go through anything so emotionally draining before in my life. A/P is definetely the hardest part of this process. Everyday that goes by feels like an eternity. I do things to keep myself busy but no matter what you do the time passing is difficult to deal with!! I hope we all get through this nightmare soon.

AJ1

The nightmare will eventually end. Now Khallid and I talk about the 6 months on AR/AP and those 6 months are just a memory. There is light at the end of that tunnel gals!

Would your husband Like to explain this to my husband.. Before his skin turns green.. his clothes tear off.. and he starts flinging cars around??!!

superhero2wx1.gifBUT CAIRO SAID TWO TO THREE WEEKS!!!!!!! *whaM!* *sMack!* *SLAM!*

WHEN!!!!!!!!! WHEN!!!!!!!!! WHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (hearing lady scream in the distance!) *SLAM!* *BANG!*

My hubby darn near made me crazy too. He always would say "why don't they give me my visa? Have they denied me? Why, why, why???? It also didn't help that many egyptians would tell him that the embassy never gives visas to the U.S!!! Ironically, while he was waiting for his visa, a friend of his was getting his visa to the UK. Took a whole 4 weeks!

AND that our mutual friend got hers in 5 months.. got her visa 2 weeks after her interview.. a million times i told him "It is different cause shes a WOMAN!! WOMAN ARE DIFFERENT!" but.. it still doesnt help

They should have told him 2-3 MONTHS, not weeks. From what I've seen on Cairo, when I was watching timelines more closely, it was 3-4 months as a standard time. You can't do anything but wait as you know. I too found AP the hardest part of the journey. Everything else seemed to have a timeline that you could predict (when your NOA2 might come) or a specific date (the interview). We watched others get their visas in 1-2 weeks during our 3 months wait, and it was heart wrenching at times. Hang in there. Most of this journey is behind you. And once you are together, you will most likely forget all this waiting time. I know we and others who have.
