Are the police certificate and birth certificates of my wife and son needed for submission to NVC?

We have just gotten notice that she received NOA2 and I assembling the documents to send to NVC after I pay the bill.

I know we are still a couple of weeks away but need time to gather all things.

Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

Yes this is the right time to start gathering those. You’re still about 6-10 weeks out before being able to submit at the NVC. It’ll take USCIS 1-2 weeks to send the file to NVC and NVC is saying 6-8 weeks to get the case input in the system. NVC is all uploading electronically now.

What do you mean 'Submit to the NVC?'  Are you saying that you upload, via a web site, the documents?  Or mail them to the Consulate once you get the packet from them?

I am CR-1, so after NOA2, the paperwork is sent from the processing center to NVC in New Hampshire, for further processing. The documents are uploaded via email for them and I have more fees to pay, you are a K-1 visa so you have a little different process.

Good Luck

Craig
