Hello everyone, I recently had my interview at the Juarez consulate on the 21st. Everything went well, but at the end of the interview I was issued a blue slip (221) stating that I had to submit my husband's long birth certificate. We originally submitted a certification of vital records, which did not list the hospital he was born in. Jump to the 22nd my in laws back in Arizona were able to get a copy and email it to me. Which I then printed out and shipped out that same day with my passport. DHL is showing that it should deliver by the 25th, if anyone knows how long does it take for the rest of my case to be processed? I’m a bit nervous because I do anticipate to be here for the next 2-3 weeks. I informed my employer about it, but I’m honestly scared to loose my job. We have so many bills back home, and due to this bump on the road it’s going to affect my partner and I a bit financially. Also if 221 is only stating that document and my passport that means everything else was cleared correct ? Thank you all for your help much appreciated.

No one can say with any certainty how long it will take to complete and issue your visa. I would image your looking at 2-3 weeks. Keep your eye on ceac.state.gov use "immigrant" and your DS number if it returns a not found then use "non-immigrant" and your DS number. If this works then you are very close, days close, to receiving your visa. Nothing is approved it you see "issued" and your visa is in your hands.
