Hi everyone :)

Just for anyone who finds this and has the same issue.

Firstly my package was intercepted so it's being returned to me however...

I called first thing on Monday morning and they reassured me the best thing to do, once you get your receipt of acceptance that they have it, use the number and location on that to send a letter with the correction on and it will be easily rectified :)

It's great if USCIS will make those corrections on anybody's case. That said, they have been known to reject due to that as well...it's far from the first time it's happened.

The issue is (a)(6) is a completely valid category and basis to file for an EAD. It's impractical due to current timelines, but it's a valid filing and it's USCIS making an assumption about intent to override what was actually provided, which is unusual in their line of work (despite if anybody on the phone line is saying it's a simple change).

Well in my case, thank God it was corrected by them... I had chosen a6 and when I called yesterday and asked what code I had chosen the tier 2 told me  c9...  I asked about the a6 code and she informed me that most of the people that file for I485 and I765 and chose a6 it would automatically be changed to c9... that`s what I was informed... but i guess with USCIS things can be uncertain...
