She was told the rule beforehand and supposedly knew the rule but said it anyway.  Here's your sign.

  That's been the rule as far back as I can remember. It happens, and most people just accept they screwed it up when it does happen. Same as on Jeopardy when someone comes up with a difficult answer but forgets to phrase it in the form of question. These are the rules of the game.

I agree. That rule in both cases has always been there so why now whine about it. Possible the Socialist mindset but probably media is trying hard to be relevant and failing.

  The only time I felt like someone got ripped off is when they mispronounce the word and they won't give it to them. Still if you are going on a game show that revolves around words and spelling, you have to be able to say and spell the words correctly. The biggest surprise (to me) out of all this is that these shows are still on the air.

I agree sometimes as once in a great while they pronounce a word I think can be called for them but overall some rules have been around since the beginning and they know it.
