Which Visa route to go?

I got engaged in September but my fiance is in Pakistan. His mom and other family were here in USA and she put the ring on me. I am going to go visit him in January.  Should I apply for the Fiance Visa? Or is it just safer and more guarantee to get the Spouse Visa from a country like Pakistan? I would obviously marry him when in Pakistan but I want to know which Visa is better for Pakistan... Fiance or Spouse?

Are Pakistani people getting approved for fiance visas without much problem and how long is taking them??

Appreciate any kind of help. Thanks!

Pakistan is a tough consulate, and Pakistani males often face long APs.  Spousal visa is probably the best route, but marrying on the first visit and not having much time spent together in person are red flags.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this sounds like an arranged marriage, your best bet is spousal visa. when do you plan to file exactly and where you planning to get married?

If you marry him in Pakistan, that solves this question, as you would not be eligible to petition him for a fiance visa.

Thank you for the feedback.

I would ONLY marry him if it's better to apply for the spouse visa then the fiancee Visa

And I would only apply for the fiancee visa after I meet him in Pakistan in January(no marriage, only meeting) and apply for the fiancee visa in USA right afterwards

It is an arranged marriage.  And I have never met him before. January would be the first time I would be meeting him. We have contact only through phone calls and messages.

If you marry on that visit, and petition straight away, you will be in for an uphill battle.

A few visits, spend quality time together, see how it goes and then decide.

The best advice for you is to meet in person many times, save all the evidence of time spent together, then marry in Pakistan, start to co-mingle finances and collect documents showing this, then file the I-130 petition.  In that order.  Good luck!

I recommend a spousal visa.  Finance visas are tough as long courting periods are not common in Pakistan and the visa has been used as a faster route to bring a spouse to USA which is fraud.

There is no issue with marrying on the first visit if you are Pakistani and this marriage was arragned between families (if first cousins there could be other issues) as its customary.  I've seen plenty of couples go through the process and have no issues with marrying on the first visit.   You must be sure to prove a bonafide relationship after the wedding.  Plan trips every few months and do as much commingling as you can.
