Slightly off topic I apologize.  My wife just received her Greencard with her married name on it.  Soon we will travel back to her home country of Brazil.  Her passport is in her maiden name and green card in married name, which name do we use for travel purposes ?

thanks

As in the same reply to the same weekly question.......book the ticket in the name of the passport, have her bring a copy of her marriage certificate and her GC.

The name on your ticket should match the ID you'll be using, so passport name for travel to Brazil (you'll be in Brazil, they won't recognize US-issued ID other than a passport).

For domestic travel, she can use her married name, because a green card is a valid ID as far as the US TSA is concerned.

Has she registered the marriage in the Brazilian consulate? Or did you guys get married in Brazil? I see that many Brazilians do not update their Brazilian documents after they get their green card but whenever you guys have the time, a quick visit to the Brazilian Consulate can go a long way. Getting a passport that reflects her name change can avoid a lot of headaches in the future.
