And very safe.  I like safety when I am driving.

I prefer people to pay attention to what's happening on the road instead of being lazy about driving.  It is arguably the most dangerous thing you can do and people zone out expecting their car to do all the work.  They text and do all sorts of things instead of paying attention, shoulder checking, watching the conditions of the road, looking around and paying attention.

I'm glad my car doesn't have anything but a back up camera.  It's a manual and I have to pay attention to the road.  It's hella fun to drive and yes I drive, just to drive.

Manuals are becoming very rare.  Overall, I agree, drive properly, don’t get lazy with software that another human has created.

I do like blind spot detection, but occasionally I get errant signals.  There is a subtle difference between lane departure and lane keeping assist.  I do like the lane departure, but the LKA can be a PITA if I forget to signal.

I don't disagree with you at all.  But whatcha gonna do when driverless cars are the norm?

Agree. I like what we call Lane Departure. Basically warns you if you ross a line. Lane Trace which keeps you centred not so much

I really don’t see that for many years (level 4 or 5 autonomous).  Too many use cases the programmers have to deal with.

Perhaps they need to get Boeing involved?

I agree. My car is too old, but everyone I drive with seems to have them now. I'm surprised how often I hear the beeping. I didn't actually realize how much difficulty people have just staying in one lane.

Really makes you wonder when passing someone on the interstate.

My car is a 2018 and didn't have those features.

Hubs has a radar detector that goes bananas every car he passes due to the damn side mirror alerting.  I find it annoying to drive with him!
