Hi everyone!  I'm reaching out to get some advice on how to proceed after receiving Noa 2. Recently my fiance came to visit me in Buenos Aires, for the second time this year. He'll be staying here till the end of the year. A few days ago we checked the status of our case and were delighted to see we had been approved. This came as a surprise because the initial time frame for the application was 6-9 months, so we expected to first see an approval notice in February after he had been back in the states. I was wondering if anyone is going through the same process here in Buenos Aires, and could help us? Is there anything we can do regarding paperwork while he is here? What is the next step? What advice could someone give that would help me prepare, before being contacted by my embassy?

Please help!

Thank you so much!!

Since each country's requirements/procedures can be a bit different at this phase of the visa process, you should consider posing your embassy-specific questions at the M LSA Regional Forum: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/ . There are likely folks there have have recently gone through the process, or are currently going the process.

Perhaps a mod could move this thread to the MLSA Regional Forum?

Here is the information you need to process your visa successfully for your country.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

The US Embassy in Argentina ask that all legal documents to be translated by a professional. The consul at the embassy warned beneficiary's to apostille and translate their birth certificate, because without the apostille it was not going to have any legal value overseas to do the AOS.  So, have your translation completed with a professional service and ensure that you have it apostille for the interview.

This is a thoughtful article about the process that another VJ'r about his experience with the process for the interview.
