Hi, everyone... so I met this nice lovely lady in Colombia while, my husband and I where through our K1 process. We met the lady at the medical exam for K1 interview . The day before her interview the US embassy in Colombia called her and cancelled her appointment and asked her to reschedule. (this was in JULY 2019). She re-scheduled and had her interview in August. After her interview she was told that her case had to be reviewed, she went home empty handed. A few days after the interview, the lady  and her fiance received a phone call from the embassy and they had a second interview over he phone. They asked her really private embarrassing intimates questions, which they both had to answer. It has been over 3 months already and her case still under admin processing.... has anyone experienced this? any inputs?

To be honest, it is best that your friend joins the site because there is a lot of reasons why they are in AP. AP is normal and it can take weeks, months, or even years. But we would have to know what questions were asked during the interviews, and details about their relationship (like how long they were together, how many visits, etc), and also details about their case (what evidence did they send, were there any red flags, etc).

As you can see, the "asking for a friend" doesn't get much help here. We always see it but the OP usually have to go back to their friend to find out so much more.

But, again, AP is AP, there is nothing that can be done to find out exactly what is going on.

My friend does not speak English... she calls me and tells me everything that has been happening with her case. What i can tell you is this, she does not speak English, they have been in a relationship for 3 years, where he has traveled a lot of times to see her and spend time with her. He is older than her about 15 years, but they get along very well and they do have a legit relationship. During her interview they asked very normal questions, nothing to be alarmed or worried about. The only thing was that her fiance sent a copy of his divorce, he got divorce many many many years ago, so the OP requested an original divorce certificate, which they sent right away. The phone interview, they were asked if they have sex and how many time have they had sex. She has 14 siblings, and he was asked for their names... which is absurd. He remembered like 9 of their names.

Seems they doubted the validity of the relationship, perhaps he can join?

she printed her whatsapp conversations, phone calls logs, plane tickets, pictures of them together... and when he goes to Colombia he stays for over 10 days at a time... at least 3 -4 time per year

Sounds like she is good to go on relationship evidence.

I would have thought both were common, as long as they can communicate it does not have to be in English.

I really think this is a luck thing... you never know what to expect when you go to an interview... some time been well prepared its not enough... she was very well prepared, she had documents, pictures, everything done right... she has been with this man for over 3 years... I think its all about luck

I agree that it sounds like the validity of the relationship is in question. But it is hard to gauge what triggered suspicion if we weren't there. Age difference doesn't seem that bad. Language barriers can be overcome.

P.S. in the Regional (Mexico, Latin, and South America) section of this forum she can post in Spanish. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

I an given case difficult to say, the VJ experience is that there is usually something significant that has not been mentioned.

Well, I asked her to be honest and to tell me the truth of what really went down in the interview, so that I can see how I can find help for her, or to try to figure out what went wrong, she said that she told exactly what was asked... and what they asked her to re-submit, which was only the divorce certificate

Interview over the phone ??? Mmmm this is normal in Colombia? Because this is not a normal protocol.

Sounds to me like it would have been a Stokes interview had he been present in Columbia, but because he wasn't, they did that part by phone.
