Good to know! The way the officer explained it, he made it sound like we needed the letter before we can schedule or do the medical. I already called a couple places to get an idea of timeline and it's only a week out.

If it's only a week then it's not too bad. I understood your post as if he don't want you to send anything to them before you have the RFE because it could get lost there when nobody knows why you're sending this.

Their first step will be to try to find the package. They're going to contact CBP, they might not even send you a RFE

Really? He didn't even mention they were going to look for it. He told us it happens often and my husband needed to get another medical. We even asked if we could have London send a copy of the original and he answered "you can try,  but I've never had an embassy willing to do extra work". It's impossible though we found out. Since the UK in in lockdown you cannot get ahold of anyone at Knightsbridge where the medical was done or the embassy. We've tried emailing, calling, and faxing. We just gave up & got his Medical rescheduled Monday & just really want the RFE letter! 🙏

We finally got our appointment leter!! Scheduled for the 22nd Feb. The only concerns i have are the missing flu shots in my medical packet do i get them done now before the interview? Also the lack of documents like health insurance and rent together since we cant afford insurance and we're paying rent to his parents so theres no documents..

Today we bit the bullet & just paid for another Medical since USCIS lost the K1 one. Ironically the RFE letter showed up in the mail today too. Our status online still shows 'Interview Scheduled' though. We will mail back the RFE & new Medical papers tomorrow. Can't wait for this to be done for a couple years. 😉

I would get the flu shot now and bring it to your interview just to be safe. They may not care or may not accept it since it's not signed by a Civil Surgeon, but I know my husband needed it for his new Medical today. I was glad he'd gotten the shot a few weeks earlier & we brought the pharmacy papers.

Our officer didn't ask or care about joint documents. We had them (loans, utilities, bank accounts & life insurance) but he only asked for pictures and then just tossed them aside and didn't look at them. I did front load our 485 with health insurance and bank accounts though so that could be why. Just bring what you have and try not to worry. You can't bring something you don't have & lots of people live with relatives at first. Good luck!

Is your vaccination sheet from your medical signed as complete? If so you don't need to worry about anything.

@Juls801 your husband needed it because right now it's flu season and the flu shot is appropriate during this time. Outside the flu season it's not needed for the medical.

I have a question for the required documents needed for the interview. When we sent in the application, we sent two I-864 (sponsor and co-sponsor), because at the time my husband only worked part time and they did not count his VA benefits as income. However, since then he has switched to full time work and we do not need the co-sponsor anymore. Should I still bring that form to the interview, or only an updated one of my husband?

My husband's AOS was finally approved today!! After losing his k1 Medical and redoing it at a sketchy civil surgeon office and sending it in it only took 12 days for them to approve.

We received the best news this morning! 🥰🥳
A 5am text from immigration can be good or bad. Today they finally approved his Adjustment of Status! After the 3 year wait (k1 plus aos/ead/ap) & many hurdles & hoops we have come to an end for the next 2 years. So blessed and happy! 🥰
