Interesting, I am glad that my husband got his work authorization in May then. Sounds like we will have to renew the work authorization before we ever get a green card based on all the delays.

Hopefully they'll get caught up sooner than that.  The low budget due to the pandemic seems to be an issue.

Hey fellow December filers, hope everyone is keeping happy and healthy during the waiting period. Got some great news today that after being cancelled back in April my AOS interview has finally been rescheduled through the Boston field office. Will update when I receive the letter indicating the exact date. All the best and good luck!

Hey, so we're currently waiting for our interview to be scheduled.

Due to all the covid stuff my husband has been laid off.

Does this mean that he can no longer be my sponser? Or will they kinda look at things differently due to the covid stuff?

Or... should I stop over thinking it and wait till we get a date for the interview, hoping he'll have a new job by then (though i doubt that's super easy right now)?

Thanks in advance

I'd probably plan for the worst and hope for the best, in this scenario.

Do you have significant savings that could coast you through it? (I think there are guidelines as to how much you need to be able to get through it but afaiu it's quite a lot.)

I would try and find another sponsor - at least organise one in the short term - just in case you get called in before your spouse has settled into a new job.

Yes if was the only sponsor that it can potentially be an issue.  Hope he finds a new job and shouldnt be an issue if it arises. it is definitely a material change as he is the sponsor

duh

Hi! Same situation here.

No idea when they are going to schedule my interview either. The first one was cancelled due to COVID.

Right now everything is up in the air and my husband and I decided to wait and see. A family member agreed to co-sponsor, that will hopefully help.

Hang in there! Tough times...

Sigh... processing times for OKC for I-485 is now 11 months to 35.5 months. I know we are still blessed and lucky though, as my husband’s work is still stable. Just can’t help but feel a bit sad on the long wait.. no complaints here, just saying... I hope everyone’s doing good, or as good as what we can expect amidst these trying times.. take care y’all !

Yeah! We got it yesterday. I was wondering if it was a mistake, and then it posted fully today after pending yesterday. I guess after we filed in July, they reconciled the face that we were married and was owed the $2400. It was a pleasant surprise that I Hope was not a mistake. Happy to know we were not the only ones. 😅

Awesome! I thought it was a mistake too. I checked on the IRS website my stimulus status and said I have one deposited yesterday.

What’s the link to check? I tried to google it yesterday but wasn’t sure if it was the correct site.
