My case updated today that my EAD card was mailed to me. How did you everyone get their tracking number? I check my status on the USCIS website. I'm not sure if I am supposed to get an e-mail about it but probably not since I have a lawyer who did all my paperworks.

There will be another update that says that your card was picked up by the post. That one has the tracking number in it

So, when I was filing the AOS package, I asked for social security card. I already had a number but no card at that point (took me 3 months to get it - terrible story).

Do you usually get the social security card with updated name (in my case) with EAD or after?

Thanks

It typically comes after. I was told that they will do a search before issuing you a SSN and if you already have one they won’t issue you another. They’ll just use the one you already have.

I heard that they issue a new card with the new name, if this is requested in the form.

I guess I will just call the office and ask them. I was told, they can see it in the system if there is a request from USCIS.

The current card is in my old name and it says I am not allowed to work with it. I will have to change it anyway.
