Joining the RFE cool kids.  Just saw the update.  Waiting for the paper....good times :)

Welcome to the club!  Hopefully it's something you can take care of easily.

USCIS received my RFIE yesterday and this morning I got the update that they received it, so that was pretty fast!

Omg.... things are moving so fast! When did you get your biometrics done?

Jan 8.. my field office’ processing time for AOS though is 9.5 months to 26 months.. so I’m not keeping my hopes up too much 😂 I’ve read that one can get stuck with this “ ready to be scheduled for an interview “ for months and months .. apparently, the magic notice would be “ interview has been scheduled “... but I’m glad though cause it may mean that I don’t expect to have any glaring RFE’s ( I hope )...

I'm in Florida and processing times here are really long too. And I have a job offer for May, so I really hope I don't get stuck waiting. 😁

Yeah, I hope all goes well for all of us.. I really am wishing that my EAD/AP would come first before the interview though, because I have not collected any solid proof of bonafide marriage yet ( long story short, I messed up and didn’t apply for SSN.. my husband’s bank would not allow me to be added to his bank account without SSN, and it’s not an option for us to open another account with another bank).. I was able to be added as beneficiary to his accounts though, so at least that was a start, but I know it wouldn’t be enough... if I could redo it all, I would have gotten in that SSA office after 2 weeks of arrival here in the US. It would have saved us a thousand headaches 😂😂😂

hey hey - yep, we got an RFIE. About our birth certificate.. we don't even know what the issue is, because we included the copy of the BC and the translation. Anyone know how to get specifics about what went wrong?? Should I call? ughhhh..

My birth certificate is in Bulgarian, so I had to translate it. I did it myself for the K1 interview and they accepted it, but they told me that it needs to be a certified translation ( by a company) to be accepted for the Green Card. That's the only problem I could see. I had it done by a company and the translation has a stamp and everything. Hopefully, that's enough.
