I did a walk-in at the biometrics a week earlier and they took us no problem. They said it was good we came since the place was empty.

Be careful as all offices do not allow early walk ins, it depends on the ASC.

Good Morning, I got my case number today exactly 30 days after they received my application. It seems to be happening a lot lately, if you’re still waiting and are under a month I wouldn’t worry too much 😉

Very good you can relax a bit now!

It’s now been four weeks since I mailed off my packet and still no receipt number yet :(

I’m really starting to get concerned that they’ve misplaced it or maybe it never arrived in the first place. I know it can take 30 days but it seems people that mailed their packets on the same day and even later have all received their NOA1 and even biometrics for some.

I know I can email lockbox support (which I will in two days time), but does anyone know if calling USCIS is likely to get me anywhere? I’ve heard that lockbox support can still take 30 days to respond to your email, and I really don’t want to delay my AOS/EAD/AP by 60 days total just to find out they misplaced it or something.

you must call, my package arrived there on December 13 and just on January 13 I called and they gave me my case number, it took 31 days to put it in the system and I called almost every day, I still do not get the letters...  call today

I noticed someone mentioned biometrics. When do I need to look into doing that? After I get my NOA2? or when they send it to the office near me? I'm a little confused with the AOS process and when I need to do stuff >.< seems way more complicated than K1!

They will send you an appointment letter after your NOA.

Has anyone here finished their biometrics and checked their status on the egov.uscic.gov website? I did my biometrics last week and it should change status to "We have received your fingerprint..."  like most of you but I just checked my status and it is still on "Fingerprint fee received", should I be worried?

Why would you be worried? It'll change shortly. Remember humans are updating the system. I do understand though, most update less than 24 hours after biometrics are done. But no worries  you got your stamped  bio appointment letter that shows you gave biometrics right?

We did Biometrics on 1/14 and no update yet.  I figure they will do it whenever they want.
