I-130 received by USCIS London

Hi everyone,

Just looking for some advice please. My wife and I have recently filed our I-130 application via the London Office who have also confirmed they have received and started to process 1 week ago.

My question is, is there anything I could be doing in the interim? I.e. pulling additional documents together ahead of the next step (whatever that is!?).

Thanks very much,

Filed: Citizen (pnd) Country: Germany
Timeline

We are currently DCF'ing via Frankfurt. So far we have ordered a (German) police certificate and IRS transcripts for the last 5 years.

The transcripts you can get here. We had to have them mailed but haven't received them yet.

Would also like to know which additional docs/info we can prepare for the next step.

You should have a look at gathering the police reports (https://www.acro.police.uk for the UK) and potentially for other countries.

And you should probably contact your GP here for the medical care summary in anticipation of the medical.

You can get police reports, the I-864 ready and tax transcripts.  You also need to pull together proof of US domicile or you intent to re establish it.  I kept my condo, had utilities, insurance and cars registered and voted while I was "away".  I didn't have any issues with domicile.

Your medical gets done by the panel physician.   Not too much to get ready for.

Not sure I am answering your question correctly but also have a look at my timeline as we are in the process DCF through London.  Once we had the I-130 approved it was a couple of weeks before we got the letter with the LDN number.

Thanks for this. This was very helpful. How long after your I-130 approval did it take for you do get your actual visa stamped?

Thanks again.

Hi sorry to divert the topic slightly. How long did it take USCIS from first application to contact the US embassy in London?

Thanks

Hi,

Not sure I understand. We submitted the application direct to London as my wife and I are both UK citizens. My wife is dual but lives in the UK.

We are still in process.  I’m getting paperwork organised.  I’ll keep updating here as we progress.

Great thanks!

Little bit of a development today however. My wife has been in contact with our lawyers who submitted the application for us and they have advised that our request for expedition (last minute job relocation) has been accepted.

How much time do people think this will likely save? What's the actual difference between an expedited process and normal?

Or do you think they just mean it's been accepted by London to process rather than transferred to the US?

Thanks very much.
